Wilrich is a pretty young thing with longish dark brown hair and hazel eyes. He stands 5'11" and weighs 160lb. He normally wears fine clothing and is very comfortable in expensive business attire. He's trying not to stand out on this current assignment and is dressing down in casual designer clothing - he blends in well in an upper-class area. Of course, he'll dress differently if needed to blend in elsewhere. Since he's on a temporary assignment, he hasn't bothered to bring any jewelry or other personal effects, so his look is rather plain.

Wilrich has a mild personality, very laid-back and easygoing. He's content to go with the flow and isn't easily upset by unexpected events. Life amuses him, and he can seem flippant even in serious situations. He's friendly but wary, made so by centuries of dealing with people of various character. He keeps to himself, used to keeping Walther's secrets and rarely develops deep friendships; most interactions seem superficial when compared to the depth of the relationship he has with Walther.

The men of Wilrich's family have served the baron Walther Teufel for generations, acting as the vampire's public face in a world that would not welcome him. Each generation, one young man is selected to carry on the tradition. Walther's servants must be trustworthy, intelligent, social, and above all, able to accept the idea of a supernatural reality. After careful consideration of the current family members, Walther and his current servant, Wilrich's uncle, decided that Wilrich was the most natural choice.

Wilrich was stunned by the revelation, but eagerly accepted the invitation, his curious mind unable to ignore the excitement of a secret world. He finally understood why his uncle was rarely present at family gatherings, yet so interested in his education. He spent a year in intense study of business, medical science, and English, gaining a basic understanding of the workings of Walther's medical research company before formally accepting the position. Once he had proven himself through devotion to study, he was finally permitted to meet with his new employer.

The two were an excellent match - too good, perhaps, as Wilrich set a new record for fewest days worked before sleeping with Walther, which was exactly one. The intense relationship cooled over the four years that Wilrich spent working, finally ending with an amicable split, both moving on to newer conquests. Wilrich and Walther still share a close friendship and a deep understanding, both absolute requirements for survival in their close, lonely world. There are other servants in the household, but most think that Wilrich himself is the baron, and only a rare few know of Walther's true nature. Ah, yes, Wilrich is also Walther's snack of choice, so he takes care to eat heartily most days to help keep his strength up... but he's still a bit on the skinny side.

Wilrich has just been asked to follow Bastian Alkwin, Walther's new lover, to Ann Arbor and make sure he stays safe.

Wilrich is interested in observing the changes that will occur in society, but expects to be a spectator rather than a participant as Walther has no plans to come out of hiding. His assignment was a pleasant surprise, and he fully plans to explore the revealed supernatural world when he's not busy stalking Bastian. He'll continue hiding the fact that he was aware of supernatural beings, choosing the fun path of playing the innocent.

Wilrich is fluent in German and English. He's good at public speaking and talking his way out of tough situations, especially when it comes to hard questions about the company. He's also something of a detective - he's become quite good at researching Walther's potential business partners, rivals, and other people of interest.

weaknesses

Promiscuous - Wilrich is an attractive young man with a wandering eye. He has a tough time resisting temptation and has caused some minor scandals in the past that have cast a bit of a shadow over the Teufel name.

Reversed schedule - Wilrich is active at night and sleeps during the day, which is no problem when he's at home with Walther, but awkward at best while participating in the human world.

Flippant - Wilrich is very laid-back and finds amusement in many things. Others find him insensitive when he gets a good chuckle out of technical problems on a conference call or a glass of wine spilling all over someone's expensive cocktail dress. Wilrich thinks everyone is way too serious, but sometimes he comes across as a snotty rich kid.

Lack of trust - Wilrich's position as Walther's servant and public face has left him wary of people and their intentions. The cutthroat world of big business is filled with manipulators and liars, and Wilrich doesn't trust anyone. This lack of trust has spilled over into his personal relationships, making it difficult to establish a meaningful connection with anyone outside of Walther's tiny inner circle.

Wilrich has an innate understanding of people and is a good judge of character. Others have a tough time hiding their emotions from him if they are upset or angry, and he is often able to offer sound advice regarding interpersonal relationships. He is an excellent communicator who understands how to get along with a variety of personality types.

family

Wilrich has a large family, but hasn't kept in contact due to the nature of his work. The only family member he speaks with regularly is his uncle, and that's only a couple of times a year.

living condition

Wilrich lives in Germany with his close friend and ex-lover, the vampire baron Walther Teufel, and the rest of the household staff. The Teufel home is a reasonably good-sized private estate in a remote area. He plans to stay in a nice hotel while visiting Ann Arbor.

career

Wilrich's main job is to pose as the owner of Walther's company as needed for public events, business meetings and calls, and any other time that Walther's company needs a public face. When he's out playing owner in public, he always wears an earpiece so he can receive instruction from Walther; this is explained as a hearing aid. At home, he assists Walther with his remote managing of the company, acting mainly as an executive assistant but also digging into some of the heavier work as needed.
